* Brette Nuts

My name is Brette I am a Television journalist in Tennessee, USA. Some people here don't believe that we, the United States, should be involved in what appears to be a Serbian-ethnic Albanian conflict. However, the pictures we have seen of ethnic cleansing sicken many.. and sadden all. The situation in Kosovo is being compared to Adolf Hitler's attrocities during the World War II. President Clinton says we can't stand by and let that happen again.

Before the bombing began, 24 hours ago, many Americans didn't even know where Kosovo was on the map. Now, we have all had a crash course in Yugoslavian history. I personally find it very interesting, yet sad. Why do the Serbs hold a grudge against the Muslims for 600 years?....

Americans, for obvious reasons, are now watching developments in your part of the world very closely. Hopefully, there will be a peaceful conclusion soon.

Please, if you can, describe what is going on in Yugoslavia. What is the sentiment about the NATO airstrikes? Is there a chance for peace?

Our thoughts and prayers are with the innocent civilians.
